Residential demand was forecast to reach 266,000 units by 2018. Furthermore the report states affordable housing for low and middle-income workers has been in increasingly short supply, with real estate consultancy Deloitte estimating that Qatar will require between 500,000 and 1m affordable residential units prior to 2022.
